No slides. The material is the price conversations you already have in your calendar. Before each one we build a game plan, during it I am on the line or I listen to the recording, and afterwards we take it apart frame by frame. I mentor in English and Polish, in Poland and abroad.
Two people a year, chosen by me after a qualifying call. A contract, full contact, measured ROI with a target of at least 10:1.
Entry condition: at least 2 real price conversations a month. Without them there is nothing to practise on.
“The negotiation happens before you sit down at the table. 80% of the result is preparation. The rest is the calm to carry out the plan while the other side tries to wreck it.”
Paweł Gołembiewski, negotiation on behalf of clients since 2002A 90-minute kick-off session: we take apart your 3 most recent deals and set the baseline numbers (average discount, commission, exclusive listings, time to decision). Cycles 1-2: the scenario tree, a plan for a deadlock, an anchor without the fear of losing the deal.
Cycles 3-4: an alternative you have built instead of a bluff, a time frame, the “added person”, breaking the other side's anchor, a choice between two options that both suit you. A 60-minute module: commission and loyalty, or how to be paid by both sides honestly.
Cycles 5-6: the “no exceptions” price list, a package instead of a discount, exclusivity as currency in every conversation, the notary and small concessions at the very end. ROI review after three months: what has already paid for itself, what has not yet.
You run cycles 7-8 yourself; I only check the game plan before and run the debrief after. A 90-minute closing session: your playbook (5 scripts), the ROI table for the four months and a plan for the next six months. If you have a team, the playbook gets a version for rolling out to your people.
A review of your pipeline: which conversations are on this week, which need a plan, quick decisions.
A question before the conversation, during a short break or right after you leave the meeting. No limit, on working days until 8 pm, and at the weekend in a critical situation.
In the kick-off session we set the baseline numbers and the way we count. Every month we add what the programme has brought in, in real money. Target: at least 10:1.
The same tools I use when negotiating on behalf of clients. After the programme they stay with you.
A 4-month contract, with the fee quoted individually after the qualifying call. I take two people a year and choose them myself: what counts is the number of real negotiations in your calendar and the stakes you play for. Without that, there is nothing for a 10:1 ROI to come from.
Flats, development plots, B2B contracts, warehouse leases. EUR 23,000 off in two hours at a developer's table. A plot priced at EUR 750,000 bought for EUR 610,000, once we stopped talking about the price and started talking about what that land meant to the owners. A house priced at EUR 570,000 closed at that price with a package of finishing works worth EUR 57,000, because the developer could not touch the price list.
In mentoring you do not get my stories. You get my way of thinking applied to your conversation on Tuesday.
See negotiation on your behalf
No. In mentoring, you do the talking. I design every move before the conversation, I am on the line or I listen in during it, and I take the conversation apart afterwards. Running a negotiation for a client is a separate service: negotiation on your behalf.
The cycle rolls over to the next month. The entry condition is at least 2 real price conversations a month, so in practice this is rare, and the qualifying call is there to check it before we sign the contract.
In the kick-off session we set the baseline numbers and the way we count: the difference between the other side's first proposal and the result, commission or margin retained, exclusive listings and contracts won. We update the table every month. Target: at least EUR 10 of value for every EUR 1 of fee. The numbers are yours; I make sure they are counted honestly.
No. By default, right after the conversation you record a 3-minute voice note for me. Recording the conversation itself only with the other side's consent.
About 2 hours a week: 45 min for the game plan, 30 min for the debrief, 30 min for the pulse. The rest is the conversations you are having anyway. The programme lasts 4 months, 16 weeks.
Because full contact on eight of your negotiations, weekly pulses and attending a meeting take real time in my calendar alongside negotiating on behalf of clients. I choose people for whom a 10:1 ROI is achievable: plenty of conversations, high stakes, and a readiness to work on paper before every meeting.
No. A course teaches the principles on my examples. Mentoring applies those principles to your developer on Tuesday and your client on Thursday, with a contract and a measured result. That is why I take two people a year. If you would rather start with the principles on your own, the materials in English are at academyofnegotiation.com.
A qualifying call, 20 minutes online. You tell me about your last two negotiations, I tell you where the money was left on the table and whether I see a 10:1 ROI for you. Then we both decide.
